We have two exciting opportunities to join the River Basin Management Programme team as Project Managers.
You will be responsible for supporting the RBMP programme manager to oversee both the programme and high profile, business critical projects therein, ensuring that objectives are clearly defined and achieved within the agreed time, cost and quality constraints. You will have a key role in project governance and will work with internal stakeholders to ensure agreed project outputs are delivered to enable benefits realisation.
General responsibilities range from managing the day to day running of the programme, including the management of the programme team, reporting progress and commissioning resources to deliver the project. You will coordinate programme plan, support project assurance, audit and gateway reviews and monitor and track project spend.
One of the Project Managers will take the lead in planning draft and final RBMP production. The second Project Manager is likely to support existing projects to coordinate activity required during periods of peak workload. Both roles will apply appropriate delivery methodology, setting project controls and tracking and reporting against milestones and supporting effective governance and decision making.

You'll be part of the Integrating Water Planning and Programming (IWWP) team in the Environment and Business directorate. IWPP run strategic programmes and provide advice and guidance on integrated water planning across the organisation.

Holding a project management qualification would be an advantage but is not essential and will form part of your development plan. You will have a range of development opportunities and appropriate training will be provided.
You’ll have an EA Office base location, as a national role the working location is flexible / hybrid. You should be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
We use smart tools to stay connected and reduce travel some travel and overnights may be required.
